Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technician will provide timely and accurate quality control/quality assurance test results for products produced at our Michigan City plant, contributing to safe and environmentally sound operations.
The role follows a rotating schedule across three shifts: 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a science field (Chemistry or Biology preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a quality laboratory environment
- Legal authorization to work in the USA on a full-time basis
- Proficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word, SAP, PI Vision)
- Strong knowledge of safe chemical laboratory practices and equipment troubleshooting
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and hygienic laboratory environment
- Represent QA Laboratory in daily production meetings
- Execute ISO QMS procedures and standards
- Safely manage mercury recycling and waste disposal
- Collect, analyze, and report sample data accurately
- Perform quality control testing on various samples
- Enter results into the quality reporting database (PQR)
- Coordinate procurement of laboratory supplies
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance
- Draft and improve laboratory procedures in line with policies and standards
