Summary:
The Company is seeking a junior-level Associate Scientist to support cell-based assay work for small molecule chemistry programs. The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate, ideally with a Master’s degree and minimal industry experience, who can be trained internally. Key attributes include curiosity, coachability, strong SOP adherence, and eagerness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments, organize data, and analyze results under minimal supervision.
- Plan, conduct, or monitor experiments, record and organize data, analyze results, and generate robust and reliable data.
- Ensure that contracted studies are conducted in compliance with the respective protocol and applicable guidelines and regulations.
- Monitor or follow established experimental design and protocols and perform routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision.
- Plan, monitor, or conduct, analyze and record experiments, and provide interpretation of data.
- Effectively transfer experimental methods from literature to the lab and make modifications as necessary.
- Develop and implement new protocols with moderate review.
- Engage coworkers in scientific discussions.
- Communicate data and interpretation to work group.
- Contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions, and/or patents.
- Participate in department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting, and committees.
- May train staff and/or supervise others.
- Coordinate and organize resources needed to complete tasks.
- Understand when to seek input and when to make independent judgments.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
- Comfortable running established assays and following SOPs accurately and consistently.
- Dependable execution and communication skills, with hard-working, reliable, and organized traits.
Desired Skills:
- Strong hands-on lab skills and discipline, with mammalian cell culture experience.
- Positive scientific mindset and team fit, with genuine scientific curiosity and willingness to learn.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $23.00 – $26.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
