Applications Chemist / Applications Specialist (Resins & Polymers)

Moncure, NC | Onsite | ~5% travel (occasional plant/customer visits)
A large chemical manufacturer is partnering with MW Talent to hire an Applications Chemist / Applications Specialist to support hands-on product development and testing of resin-based technologies. This role works closely with R&D and Applications Engineering teams to run experiments, prepare customer trials, and help translate lab performance into real-world applications across engineered wood and polymer-based products.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct lab testing and support application trials

Assist with product development and performance evaluations

Collaborate with R&D and field engineering teams

Document results and maintain strong lab safety practices
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's or Master's in Wood Science or related technical field
(Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, etc.) -
2–3+ years of industrial laboratory experience
(MS degree may substitute for two years of experience) -
Background with resins, polymers, adhesives, coatings, or engineered wood products

Strong hands-on lab skills and problem-solving mindset
