Job Description
Provide laboratory support in a research and development environment, including culturing of veterinary bacterial pathogens, bacterial plate counts, data entry, equipment preparation/clean-up, production of bacteriological media, data entry, and other related activities
Assist senior members of the lab with execution of experiments and data collection.
Bacteriology laboratory operations: laboratory housekeeping duties, preparation of sterile media and reagents, bacterial sub-culturing, bacterial plate counts, operation of basic microbiology lab equipment, autoclaving of infectious materials, maintenance/inventory of lab supplies, operation and maintenance of bioprocess equipment, etc.
Data entry, verification, and reporting, record keeping, in accordance with scientific protocol and applicable Standard Operating Procedures
