Stealth start-up, working on applied biophysics-based technology for next generation

Based in Cambridge with ties to university research, this start-up has secured funding to enable its technology development. As they are in stealth mode, specific details would be shared under NDA with the company.

The are currently looking for a Biophysicist to join them, and seek an ambitious, hands-on technologist who would enjoy working in the lab on highly applied science. This would include proof-of-concept experiments for cutting-edge research, prototyping, biophysical assays and documentation.

Requirements:

* PhD, MPhil or MRes graduate in biophysics or similar. Must have demonstrable project experience in biophysics research within an applied field.

* Strong technical lab skills and excellent scientific problem solver.

* Project experience should include work with proteins or nucleic acids (ideally within the same project).

* Experience with electrophysiology, single molecule measurements, microfluidics or electrochemical measurements.

* Any experience around Python scripting for automation or use or Arduinos would be desirable.

* Good organisational skills including documentation.

* Excellent communication skills. The role would be working in a small, dedicated team of multidisciplinary scientists.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to work at the interface of science disciplines and take steps in forging new technologies.
