The Floor Care Technician will plan and perform laboratory assignments, customer trials, test and assemble experimental apparatus, and operate various machines and testing equipment in evaluation of products in the lab and at application scale under supervision from their manager.

Skill Development
Develop relevant knowledge on the Diversey business areas, products and chemistry to continuous improvement acumen and ability to contribute as a valued team member. Committed to continuous training and self-development.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the basic principles and applications in their area of technical expertise, which includes, but is not limited to, making & testing floor finish and cleaner formulation, following test methods, improving test methods, and recording observation from tests.
Personal Action
Compose product and prototype formulation, conduct physical testing of products and prototypes, and the interpretation of results
Evaluate products according to the standard test methods and development of new and improved test methods
Conduct field trials with new products and prototypes at customer locations.
Record data and issue reports using good lab practice and written communications. Proper data logging and reporting, using the standard systems
Individual must apply and interpret standard scientific theories, concepts and techniques.
Support the members of the Innovation team in innovation projects on a pro-active basis
Work in a safe and responsible manner, following the Diversey safety guidelines
Introduce new team members to the equipment and how to use them
Regularly communicates progress of, and requirements to complete assigned work with manager and project teams

Minimum Professional Education & Experience Guidelines: Bachelor’s Degree with entry level experience; Associate’s Degree with 5 years of experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of experience
Degree in chemistry or related subject preferred
Experience as a laboratory technician preferred

Enjoys laboratory work and has good practical laboratory skills
Team player, creative, flexible and pro-active
Skills in time management and planning and communication
Good grasp of the English language, both in speaking and writing
Open to further self-development
Mechanically inclined
