Base Pay: $41,600-$47,000/yr.

Job Summary:
The Microbiology Technician participates in routine laboratory processes and laboratory testing to support the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
Job Responsibilities:
Supports equipment qualifications, re-qualifications and associated activities
Follows established test schedule
Reviews data and prepares reports for standard testing.
Assists with execution of GMP protocols and reports, including data collection
Performs advanced laboratory techniques with scientist supervision
Performs data review of standard test related documentation
Provides data trending and analysis of standard testing.
Interpretation of standard test results.
Supports method development, validation
Participates in proficiency testing for standard methods
Participates in the daily activities, including testing, associated with sterilization of materials for testing and general support to the Microbiology Department
Clean labware as needed
Participates in equipment validation/qualification
Notifies appropriate individuals when maintenance of the sterilizer and related equipment is needed
Job Qualifications:
B.S Degree in Biology or Microbiology, required
4 years of experience as a microbiology laboratory technician with an understanding in the sterilization process, validation support, laboratory testing in highly regulated pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing laboratory environments, required.
Strong attention to detail
Prior experience in highly-regulated manufacturing lab environments
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
