Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to join our Special Chemistry laboratory in Linden, NJ. This role focuses on high-complexity testing using LC/MS–MS and HPLC methodologies and supports accurate, timely diagnostic results in a regulated clinical laboratory environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working independently during day and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing in Special Chemistry using LC/MS–MS and HPLC platforms

• Prepare, calibrate, operate, and maintain analytical instrumentation

• Review, verify, and report test results in compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards

• Perform quality control, troubleshooting, and corrective actions as required

• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and laboratory SOPs

• Document procedures, maintenance, and QC activities accurately

• Participate in method validations, instrument troubleshooting, and process improvements

• Collaborate with supervisors, technologists, and other laboratory staff to ensure workflow efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field

• ASCP certification (MT/MLS) required

• Hands-on experience with LC/MS–MS and HPLC in a clinical or high-complexity laboratory setting

• Strong understanding of quality control, calibration, and troubleshooting techniques

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment
