Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electronic and mechanical equipment in a medical device manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to cGMP standards, facility quality systems, and safety regulations while supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) to ensure reliable operations.
- Maintain an accurate spare parts inventory (fabricated and commercial).
- Support engineering projects, including equipment installation, qualifications (IQs), and upgrades.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve reliability, and minimize waste.
- Test and repair electronic circuits using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, amp meters, and signal generators.
- Install, modify, and maintain control panel wiring and assist with PLC ladder logic program adjustments.
- Train operators and assist with machine setups and operations.
- Collaborate with tool room and central crib teams to ensure timely repairs and parts availability.
- Propose and review design changes with engineers to improve product quality and reduce recurring issues.
- Be available for off-shift call-ups and flexible to work overtime as needed.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Associate's Degree in a technical field (Preferred).
- In lieu of degree: minimum of 2 years of technical experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in hydraulic, electric, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word).
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
