Part Time Practice Nurse

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join a genuinely forward-thinking and well respected GP surgery near Southam for 3 days (24 hours) per week on a permanent basis. The practice is a very well-established and highly respected GP training practice with a superb staff retention rate. The practice is split across two sites, both purpose built buildings, with free car parking. The practice benefits from a long standing Partnership and offers plenty of support and progression opportunities and is happy to help support with prescribing, etc, if desired.

They are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse within Primary Care, comfortable working autonomously as the sole Practice Nurse. They need someone experienced with routine Practice Nurse duties, especially immunisations, vaccinations and smears as well as someone with experience of long term condition reviews. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse with a very supportive, GP surgery!

Salary – £23-£27 per hour DOE + NHS pension + 25 days annual leave (pro rata) + Bank Holidays + Indemnity + Ad Hoc Study

Location – near Southam

The surgery –

Very forward-thinking GP training practice
Based across 2 purpose built sites (no expectation to work at both sites on the same day)
Very well-respected within the local community
Small, close-knit family feel within the team
Work with Emis Web computer system
Superb staff retention – really look after staff and their wellbeing (some staff there over 30 years!
Strong CQC and QOF history
Free car parking available at both sites
Your role –

Have strong Primary Care experience with routine duties – especially, vaccinations, immunisations and smears
Be comfortable and confident with long term condition reviews
Benefit from a very supportive team around you
24 hours per week over 3 days (Thursdays required)
Minimal extended hours requirement
Be comfortable working autonomously
Attend monthly clinical meetings with the Partners and other clinicians and represent the Nurse/HCA team in these meetings
