Job Description: At Regions, the Quality Assurance Testing Analyst supports the application development organization by conducting complex software testing activities with moderate impact aimed to improve the functionality of applications systems across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Creates comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test case scenarios under occasional guidance of senior analysts for new and existing products

Performs manual testing of applications

Analyzes test data to determine pain points and recommend improvements or modifications to better meet customer needs

Maintains documentation for testing activities and cases

Collaborates with teams to identify process improvement strategies and develop effective testing solutions

Creates and maintains quality metrics

Collaborates with peers to create parameters and comparison data for improved accuracy

Performs post-production validation

Assists with coordinating non-functional testing activities, including performance testing, concert testing, and pen testing

Remains abreast of trends in testing tools and strategies

May assist management in determining technical knowledge pain points and developing training plans

Assists with complex testing projects

May offer advice and guidance to junior analysts, assisting in developing business/technical knowledge, analytical skills, and case management skills

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of quality experience

Or Bachelor’s degree in related field and four (4) years of quality experience

Preferences

Familiarity with Regions’ testing standards

Strong knowledge of software implementation methodologies

Strong knowledge of test case design and strategy

Strong knowledge of test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
