Overview:
As a Quality Control Inspector you are involved with the process of product design and development, creating protocols for production and installation teams to follow that result in high-quality products. The role of a Quality Assurance Inspector is to implement effective quality control measures, teach others how to use them and supervise outcomes. Field Quality Assurance Inspector collect data and investigate possible solutions by troubleshooting the manufacturing, installation or design processes for substandard products.
Responsibilities:
Review, create and alter construction drawings, perform material take-offs to build understanding of scope, requirements, and function of products
Maintain knowledge of customer-specific programming requirements, document the processes for completing this, and oversee the QA for programming across all labor resources
Performs Programming of FSG Products using tools provided by the Engineering Team
Identify root causes of problems in the production or installation process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures
Inspection and Quality Testing of FSG Smart Buildings Products
Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects
Provide supervision and deliver training to others within FSG Smart Buildings, ensuring the installation practices are as expected and of high quality
Ensure all applicable commissioning procedures are being followed by the technician
Develop and maintain quality standards and associated documentation regarding the installation of BAS / EMS equipment for electrical and mechanical systems
Develop internal quality assurance processes and procedures regarding BAS / EMS equipment
Travel to and supervise installations on construction sites up to 75% of the time
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s products and production processes
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison across departments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with basic software such was google suite and microsoft office products
Presently have your Osha 10 or Osha 30, or be able to obtain it within 90 days (Training provided by FSG) status.
Travel to and supervise installations on construction sites up to 75% of the time
Preferred
Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or other common BAS communication protocol
Experience with creating engineering drawings and schematic
Journeyman Electrical License or ACR License
