Job Summary:
As a Quality Inspector at Central Moloney, you play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality transformers by meticulously evaluating and validating manufacturing processes. Your expertise in quality control contributes to the construction of reliable and top-notch products.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform various testing procedures on transformers, including electrical and mechanical tests, to validate functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results and testing procedures.
- Use precision measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, to verify that components meet specified dimensional requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Investigate and analyze product defects or non-conformities, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to communicate quality standards and address any issues or concerns.
- Strictly adhering to safety guidelines and procedures, promoting a secure working environment.
- Undertake additional quality-related duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and commitment to excellence.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Electrical testing experience is a plus.
- Display good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for repetitive tasks.
- Possess strong mathematical & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical drawings.
- Proficiency using basic measuring tools (calipers, rulers, tape measures, gauges).
- Experience with quality control tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and quality control skills.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and dust.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
