Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Research Contract Analyst is responsible for contract negotiation of clinical trials, subcontracts, nondisclosure agreements, and consortium agreements. The Analyst will be the main point of contact and is responsible for conducting negotiations with external sponsors on behalf of TSRI. The Analyst works collaboratively with the division/department to ensure agreements facilitate the conduct of research at TSRI in compliance with applicable laws and institutional policies. The Analyst will provide action-oriented and expert support to Principal Investigators (PIs) and the division/department and will handle specific clinical trial and audit issues with integrity.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 2+ years’ experience in contract formation, contract negotiation, or administration required. Previous experience negotiating clinical research or healthcare contracts preferred. Experience in an academic medical center preferred. Working knowledge federal and state laws, rules and regulations related to research required.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Advanced degree (JD, MBA, MHA) preferred. Certified Research Administrator preferred.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
