JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior Manual / Automated QA Engineer for a 6M C2H / 6M+ Contract (based on candidate preference) located in Plano, TX 75024 / Eden Prairie, MN / Richmond, VA 23060 (must be local to one of these 3 locations and/or willing to relocate by, or before start date | Hybrid Onsite [2-days] / Remote [3-days]). The Senior Manual / Automated QA Engineer will develop and establish QA standards and measures for IT services within the organization. The Senior Manual / Automated QA Engineer will gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements, including writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The Senior Manual / Automated QA Engineer will work closely with the Automation Team to define strategy and process, bringing automation in line with existing functional aspect of the test effort. The Senior Manual / Automated QA Engineer will create, execute, maintain automated scripts, and create metrics and increase test coverage using the automated systems. The Senior Manual / Automated QA Engineer will help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. Participate in the Full Development Lifecycle / Work within Broadly Defined Parameters – Estimation / Test Plan Execution / Software QA Needs

Write / Execute Test Plans / Test Cases

Design / Develop Testing Tools / Report Code Bugs / Push Quality Upstream

Analyze Design / Develop / Maintain Automated Test Scripts / Manual Regression Test Plans for Interfaces

Develop Automation Frameworks Consisting of Functional Libraries While Adhering to Coding Standards

Assist in Planning / Scheduling / Implementing Automation Projects – Monitor Automation Projects / Ensure Projects are Completed on Schedule / Within Budget, etc.

Evaluate Existing / Future Products / Systems to Determine Candidates for Automation

Analyze Scripts / Perform Code Reviews of Automated Scripts – Report Results of Automated Scripts in Test Management Tools / Provide Updates on Automation Progress / Custom Reporting, etc.

Analytical / Troubleshooting Skills – Requirement Analysis / Basic Application Architecture, etc.

Defect Management Tracking / Tools – Ability to Formulate Metrics, etc.

Develop Automation Strategies that Enhance Test Execution / Manual Test Coverage / Consistency of Regression Testing, etc.

Provide Training / Technical Assistance to Automation Team – Assist in Training on Software Enhancements / Cross-Train Less Experienced QA Team Members

Evaluate Current Procedures / Practices for Accomplishing Assigned Work Functions Objectives to Develop / Implement Improved Procedures / Practices to Ensure Compliance

Collaborate with PMs / Technical Delivery Managers / Application Development Team / Infrastructure Managers to Document / Investigate / Resolve Quality Issues

Provide Test Progress Reports / Metrics to Project Stakeholders

GEB / SPOCK Framework (knowledge)
