Overview:
Senior Technologist / Operating Room (OR) Coordinator
The Senior Technologist/OR Coordinator maintains quality control for the VHC Health Operating Room imaging and trains new technologists in the OR environment. As a Sr. Technologist OR Coordinator, you will be responsible for OR equipment logistics.This position requires initiative and independent judgment.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology is required
Minimum of 5 years in Diagnostic Imaging is required
Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory Experience is preferred
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required
Basic Life Support CPR Certification is required
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and maintaining operations and workflow in addition to enhancing the turnaround time between O.R. procedures.
Interfaces with O.R. personnel for procurement of the daily O.R. schedule.
Communicates with flow facilitator regarding updates and need for additional personnel.
Always keep the flow facilitator informed about any delays regarding the procedures in the O.R.
Identifies patient problems and reports occurrences to appropriate chain of command and through safer system regarding O.R. procedures.
Handle emergency calls necessitating calling in emergency staff, a Radiographer, and Department Administrator.
Is knowledgeable of all call back procedures for various modalities.
Is responsible for all quality control of dedicated O.R. equipment.
Advises and makes recommendations to all O.R. Radiographers concerning procedures, positioning, and/or technical factors and use of dedicated O.R. imaging equipment.
Communicates with and effectively engages patients of diverse age groups providing all patients with the information and explanation they may need to understand and cooperate with the procedure(s) at hand.
