Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort during movement.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of the client.
- Administer basic medication reminders and assist with medication management as instructed.
- Help clients with daily living activities including light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care, progress, and changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in home care or nursing assistance preferred.
- Previous experience in personal care or a similar role is desirable.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Basic knowledge of personal care tasks, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications may be required.
