PRIDE Health is seeking a travel Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) for a travel job in San Juan Capistrano, California.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS)

Discipline: Allied Health Professional

Start Date: 05/12/2025

Duration: 26 weeks

40 hours per week

Shift: 8 hours, evenings

Employment Type: Travel

Key Responsibilities:

Perform moderate to high complexity clinical tests with accuracy and minimal supervision.

Prepare reagents, media, standards, and controls; evaluate their effectiveness as needed.

Evaluate specimen acceptability and determine calculated results using manual or automated methods.

Accurately enter and verify test results; ensure adherence to turnaround time standards.

Review and release routine and complex test results; respond appropriately to critical or unexpected results.

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.

Conduct and evaluate instrument performance checks, QC testing, and calibration procedures.

Document and respond to QC deviations and initiate corrective actions.

Perform and document proficiency testing per regulatory requirements.

Maintain proper tracking and labeling of all reagents and supplies.

Adhere to all safety, environmental, and infection control policies.

Participate in continuing education and maintain licensure.

Provide supervision and training to unlicensed staff as required.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.

Assist with evaluations of new methods, procedures, or instrumentation.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong typing and basic automation/computer skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related life/physical science from an accredited college or university (REQUIRED) Licensure: Current and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (REQUIRED) Experience: 0-3 years of direct laboratory experience
