Veterinary Surgeon

Vet Surgeon Bunbury. West Australia $80k – $140k Join a practice where the work matters and the lifestyle inspires.
Are you a vet dreaming of a sunnier, more balanced way of life? In Bunbury, Western Australia, you can have both: a career that excites and challenges you, and a lifestyle that most people only ever take a holiday to enjoy.
At this practice they have been looking after their community’s pets for over 50 years. They are a modern, purpose-built companion animal hospital with a separate equine facility, well-equipped with DR radiography, in-house lab, ultrasound, IM3 dental suite, endoscopy, and orthopaedic equipment.
But what really sets them apart isn’t the kit, it’s the team. They are a close-knit, supportive group that believes veterinary work is better when everyone works as team, has each other’s backs and enjoys what they do.
The role:
They are looking for an experienced companion animal vet to join the team. This is a hands-on position in a clinic where your input is valued, your ideas are heard, and your growth is encouraged.
There isn’t any on call, a genuinely flexible roster (full-time with a 4-day week or tailored part-time), and opportunities to pursue your special interests, whether that’s surgery, avian medicine, alternative therapies, or rehabilitation. Occasional sole charge at their sister clinic in Dalyellup keeps things varied.
Why you’ll love working here:
They put culture first. That means open communication, mutual respect, and making sure everyone goes home on time. As part of Apiam Animal Health, you’ll also have access to career progression pathways, industry leading training, and a network of colleagues across Australia.
On top of your salary ($80,000–$140,000 + super), you’ll enjoy:
* Paid VSB registration and memberships.
* CPD allowance and VetEducation membership
* 1 week study leave (pro rata)
* 5 volunteer leave days and a “Wellness Day” each year.
* Paid parental leave (additional to government scheme)
* Relocation assistance and working holiday visa costs covered.
* Employee discounts, EAP support, and perks from retail to travel.
Why Bunbury?
Imagine finishing work and heading straight to the beach. Here, you’ll enjoy 300+ days of sunshine, endless coastal walks, forests and wildlife on your doorstep, and world-class wineries just a short drive away.
They are two hours from Perth and close to the famous Margaret River wine region, offering affordable coastal living with big-city conveniences.
If you’re ready to swap grey skies for blue horizons, join a team that feels like family, and take your career somewhere it can truly thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.
Enjoy your new role at a practice and location you deserve

£40000 – £70000/annum CPD, All fees paid for, relocation
