Broadway Animal Hospital of Riverdale is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys working with companion animals to join our team! Full-time position available. About our clinic: Broadway Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor, full-service small animal hospital, offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. We believe healthy pets make happy people, and we strive to provide high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs in the area. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound.

Requirements

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assisting veterinarian with office appointments

Taking patient history & giving discharge and medicine instructions

Proper animal restraint

Performing treatments

Administering medications by IV, IM, or SQ injections

Diagnostic testing, preparing samples for laboratory testing

Performing in hospital lab tests

Filling prescriptions

Venipuncture/ IV catheter placement

Taking digital radiographs

Assisting veterinarian with surgical and dental procedures

Surgical prep

Wrapping surgical packs efficiently

Using an autoclave to sterilize instruments

Monitoring anesthesia

Pre & post-surgical care

Using a computer to enter medical notes and charges
