VCA Foxon Animal Hospital is seeking a talented Licensed Veterinary Technician to join and lead as a Technician Supervisor full time. VCA Foxon is a three doctor, full service, newly renovated, Fear Free certified, animal hospital centrally located between New York City & Boston. We are minutes from Yale University and the Long Island Sound! The local community is thriving with new breweries, restaurants as well as beautiful nearby beaches. Radiology
Anesthesia monitoring

In the supervisor role, you will be primarily be responsible for, but not limited to:

Directing work flow on the floor
Help with the interview process for potential new hires
Technician Scheduling
Assists in staffing and coverage where needed
Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training
Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
Mentoring technicians within the department
Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
