Position description Associate Director TRANSPERS and Senior Researcher Department of Clinical Pharmacy University of California, San Francisco The individual will be responsible for providing leadership for TRANSPERS activities in conjunction with the Director and Program Manager and conducting TRANSPERS-based research projects in the areas of healthcare coverage, reimbursement, and policy decisions by payers for personalized medicine. The individual will have experience in in the areas of health economics and outcomes research, payer coverage and reimbursement, patient engagement in research, and real-world evidence generation based on peer-reviewed publications. Additional expertise required in areas of policy research and stakeholder engagement. Job duties/responsibilities: * The individual will serve as Associate Director and work directly with the Director and Program Manager to lead TRANSPERS. * The individual will conduct research, develop manuscripts, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and/or through other dissemination efforts. * The individual will participate in existing grant funded projects and future TRANSPERS-led grant proposals. * The individual will also develop a funding stream of their own from federal and non-federal grants submitted through UCSF TRANSPERS. NOTE: This is 50% time position, one-year appointment. Appointment extensions are contingent upon satisfactory performance and ability to generate funding. Required Qualifications: * MD or PhD * 10+ years of research experience in academics, government, public policy, and/or industry (or combination there of) * Established Researcher with history of peer-reviewed publications and participation on grants in area of personalized medicine * Established Presenter of Research at National, International, and Government Conferences * Demonstrated ability to obtain funding from federal, non-federal, or industry sources * Expertise in Personalized Medicine * Expertise in Healthcare Coverage, Reimbursement, and Payer Decision Making * Expertise in Real-world Data and Evidence * Expertise in Stakeholder Engagement (e.g., Payers, Providers, Patients) * Expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research Preferred Qualifications: * Track record of independent research * Principal investigator for a grant * History of potential to develop a sustained source of research funding Please apply online at , with a CV.
