Summary: Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for a variety of manufacturing support functions involving the operation of lab equipment and conduct of procedures/tasks according to established GMP, under the direction of senior staff. Manufacture products within QSR and ISO regulations Review/reconcile documents and work orders Support assigned projects with moderate supervision. Support product transfers. Write/revise documentation (basic doc revisions). Demonstrates working knowledge of business processes as they relate to manufacturing. Maintain daily adherence to Production goals relating to labor utilization, work order closure, and schedule adherence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Carry out production tasks in support of manufacturing goals and objectives. Participates in Lean Activities. Operate laboratory equipment safely, as trained and directed, in accordance with established practices. Maintain records and notebooks as directed in a neat, thorough and accurate manner. Perform required data entry on company planning and materials management system. Ensure materials are appropriately labeled, approved for use and in sufficient quantity to complete required tasks. Recommend and participate in document revisions to ensure accurate BOM’s process descriptions, NCMR and deviations. Operate moderately complex laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance/repair. Follow all safety guidelines, manufacturing policies and procedures. Operate under strict QSR compliance. Perform formulations, component and material evaluations, equipment calibrations and maintenance. Inventory control obtain/return materials, may resolve material variances related to work order usage. Reconcile work orders, enter/check labor hours, check material availability, general manufacturing queries, and close work orders. GMP documentation (i.e. log sheets, maintenance log sheets, etc.) EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (indicate if required or preferred): BA or BS in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, and 0-2 years of related experience in a GMP environment or High School Diploma plus 3-4 years of work experience in a GMP environment. Previous training and experience in the operation of lab equipment and use of lab chemicals and tools preferred. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintains accurate records and notes, and carries out assignments in a thorough, conscientious fashion while adhering to safe laboratory practices. Knowledge of a variety of lab equipment and their operation is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organized and detail oriented. General computer knowledge. Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities. Why Kelly?
