Boeing is seeking an Associate Supplier Quality Engineer to work in Boeing Global Services located in Long Beach, CA. This Quality Engineer will support the C-17 sustainment program. Quality engineers support all phases of the development life-cycle for hardware including the supply base from inception to post-delivery. nPosition Responsibilities: nPerform detailed Quality Engineering investigations, execute product containment, and implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action. nVerify routine product conformance to design requirements. Provides objective evidence of results. Conduct product review with DCMA customer during product or process verification. nIdentify and document discrepancies. Segregate and controls non-conforming items. nIdentify repetitive or significant non-conformances for corrective action. nIntegrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. nDevelop quality metrics and quality plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. nProcess supplier notice of escapements nPerform supplier performance improvement nThe position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): nBachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Graduation date must be December 2020 or earlier. n1+ year experience in Quality nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): nPrevious work experience in aerospace, manufacturing, quality, or another highly regulated industry nRoot Cause Analysis and Corrective Action nRelocation: nThis position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. nTypical Education/Experience: nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
