Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: – Support specifications and standards in areas such as compound, component, curing process, or uniformity analyses – Apply a systematic approach to identify and isolate problems and their root causes to design and implement effective solutions – Statistical analysis and data collection through software such as Minitab – Determine methods and technology to convert inputs into acceptable outputs with process capability – Learn and utilize key chemical manufacturing tools and systems; recommending improvements where needed – Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals – Work in a hands-on environment with cross functional teams, at least 50% on floor Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule and cost Preferred Competencies – Highly motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision – People-centric focus with ability to collaborate with all teammates across the organization – Strong initiative, work ethic and levels of enthusiasm – Demonstrated technical aptitude in major of study – Excellent communication and presentation skills Locations: Aiken, SC; Bloomington, IL; Des Moines, IA; Fishers, IN; LaVergne, TN; Nashville, TN; Warren, TN; Williamsburg, KY; Wilson, NC Qualifications – Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other applicable major – Preferred junior to senior level standing with minimum GPA of 3.0 – Enrolled in an accredited college or university the semester prior to the co-op/internship – Preferred ability to work 40 hours weekly in a 3-month internship, or minimum 6-month co-op assignment.
