CLINICAL ASSISTANT TO MEDICAL ASSISTANT ON-THE-JOB TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

In this position, you will receive paid, on the job training while you gain real-life experience caring for patients and assisting doctors and other health care professionals on your path tobecoming a Medical Assistant. In this role, you will fulfill patient care responsibilities as assigned that may include organizing patient flow; collecting patient history; performing screening per provider guidelines; charting; providing pertinent information; and assisting providers/nurses with various procedures as needed to deliver high quality care to our clients.

We are also accepting applications from friendly and experienced LPN, CMA, or RN.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

* High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
* Relevant experience as a Phlebotomist, Vet Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA).
* Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution, a community college program in medical assisting preferred, but not required.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.

OSHA CATEGORY
This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
