Description The University of North Dakota seeks applicants for a full-time, Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor in Accounting. Responsibilities include (1) teaching principles-level, upper-division, and/or graduate-level accounting courses in at least two areas that include financial reporting, auditing, cost/managerial accounting, and accounting information systems and (2) service to the Department of Accounting and to the accountancy profession. Additionally, if the selected candidate has a Ph.D., then some research may be expected. Qualified applicants must possess either (1) an earned Ph.D. in accounting (ABDs will be considered) or (2) a Ph.D. in a related field, a professional certification in accounting, and either an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting. Preferred qualifications include a CPA, CMA or other accounting-related professional designation; professional work experience in accounting; experience teaching accounting; and experience teaching online. This appointment is for a non-tenure track position to begin on August 16, 2021, contingent on available funding, for a 9-month contract.
