Clinical Research Coordinator – Care Management GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The Disparities Research Unit is hiring a Spanish/English bilingual Clinical Research Coordinator for a fast-paced research unit focusing on the study of behavioral healthcare disparities. The individual hired will take part in a variety of research tasks for major NIH-funded grants and other research initiatives. Incumbent will take part in Care Management activities for a major clinical trial, helping study participants to facilitate their access to support services that are not available in the intervention. They will help provide referrals to patients who need additional services and will help patients navigate these services. They will conduct regular assessments of participants in the control group to assess for safety and will help coordinate an online registry to monitor patient progress. The CRC will take part in other study activities in the unit such as assisting with participant outreach, quality control, grant applications, literature reviews, and manuscript preparation. Requirements Excellent attention to detail. Must enjoy working with people and be proactive to help engage hard to reach participants. Ability to quickly synthesize and manage data accurately from multiple sources. Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work well as a member of a team and individually, and to interface with individuals across a wide range of disciplines and experience. Ability to work well with technology and willingness to work with new technology. Full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required. EXPERIENCE: New graduates with some relevant course/project work or those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Clinical Research Coordinator I position outlined above. Those with a minimum of 1-2 years of directly related work experience will be considered for a Clinical Research Coordinator II position. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: – A Clinical Research Coordinator I does not have any supervisory responsibility. – A Clinical Research Coordinator II may assist with the training and orientation of new staff members.
