Clinical Research Coordinator I / 10 Hours/ MGH- Chelsea Mental Health PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: throughout the year and included in the written annual evaluation. The Research Assistant will be assigned to work on the PCORI funded project – Kids FACE FEARS (KFF). KFF is a clinical trial designed to evaluate the relative effectiveness of two methods (therapist-delivered vs. self-administered online) of delivering cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for treating childhood anxiety disorders in children ages 7-18 years in primary care settings. This is a multi-site study recruiting English and Spanish speakers from primarily low-income and traditionally underserved populations, affiliated with four major academic medical centers: Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA; Massachusetts General Hospital in Chelsea, MA; Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, FL; John’s Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA. The student will work at MGH’s Chelsea Behavioral Health clinic site to recruit participants. SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: The RA will provide administrative support to this project at the clinic site and will be involved with recruitment and enrollment; pre-screening; data collection; conducting data quality assurance checks; and electronic medical record data extraction. Priority will be given to bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants who could perform the above research activities in Spanish. The student will also be tasked with additional responsibilities related to subject enrollment and data collection, which may include: – Utilize Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) to collect and manage electronic survey data from enrolled participants. – Extract data from the electronic medical record to monitor and track participants’ treatment progress. – Administer the Pediatric Anxiety Rating Scale (PARS) with participating children and their parents, a structured clinical assessment tool used to assess severity and frequency of child anxiety symptoms. – Facilitate protocol logistics and coordinate with on-site administrative and clinical staff to schedule intake appointments and match participating clinicians with enrolled families. Organize and maintain study regulatory materials.
