Description :
We are seeking a Complex Maintenance Facility (CMF) Metrology / Electronics
Technician to support our Deep Space Network (DSN) Operations and Maintenance
O&M contract with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA at the Fort
Irwin, CA location. This position reports to Complex Maintenance Facility
Supervisor and functions under general direction.
* Perform maintenance, repairs and calibration on a wide variety of
electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment
* Configure Inspection, Measurement, & Test Equipment (IM&TE) to meet
normal test, repair and/or maintenance requirements
* Maintain equipment to manufactures specifications using appropriate
documentation, measurement techniques, and complex measuring systems
* Identify equipment out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective
* Logically troubleshoot, diagnose equipment failures, and repair equipment
to component level
* Use proper soldering techniques to remove and install printed circuit
board components
* Fabricate cables, connectors, and interface devices
* Use computer automation to operate, calibrate, and diagnose equipment
* Document work performed into the Maximo computerized maintenance database
* Performs other duties as required
* Lift more than 50 lbs.
* Crawl, bend, kneel, or work in a cramped workplace
* Sit or stand for long periods of time
* Work in dusty, cold or hot areas

* AS degree in electronics or 2 years of technical training
* Have 2 years knowledge on the theory and operation of a wide variety of
* Have 2 years experience with test equipment software and computer
* Possess and retain a valid California Class C Driver s License
* Able to obtain a trusted background check and pass a National Criminal
Information Check (NCIC). In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be
a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

* Experience in Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) or Precision
Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL)
* In-depth knowledge of theory and/or operation of RF/Microwave systems
* Familiar with GIDEP (Government-Industry Data Exchange Program)
* Able to work well with others as well as alone with minimal supervision
* Organized and efficient
* Good communication skills
* Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition
* Have knowledge of MAXIMO
