The Complaints/Retain Room – QA Assoc II will process product quality complaint investigations using the Product Quality Management System. The incumbent will also be responsible for leading the activities that pertain to the collection, storage, maintenance and ultimately destruction of retain samples in accordance with Self Care policies and procedures and regulatory agencies. Key Responsibilities: Follow the Escalation to Management process as applicable. Review and close complaint investigations within the timeline outlined in procedural requirements. Perform field sample visual inspection and document as outlined in procedure. Provide support to the Annual Product Review program. Provide support during regulatory inspections/audits as directed. Support may be in the form of scribes, runner and document gathering. Proactively identify, evaluate, and prioritize, opportunities for continuous improvement for the complaint processes. Facilitates team identification of these opportunities. Receive and collect retain samples (Chemical Raw Materials, Packaging components, finished product) provided from Sampling and Inspection, Packaging, and other departments as applicable. Log samples in the retain samples logbooks and/or appropriate electronic systems. Perform Annual Visual Inspection as per triggers identified by AVI procedure and issue results in reports to appropriate departments (example APR group). Report to QA management any discrepancy or trend found during the execution of the Retain Room activities. Perform other activities as deemed necessary to ensure adherence of the Retain Room with Self Care policies and procedures and regulatory requirements as deemed necessary by QA management. Provides support to Investigations and/or Investigation Protocols, pertaining to the area. Provides support to Consumer Complaint retention program. Provide QA support to various project teams, as needed. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. Science or Technical degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of Pharmaceutical and/or OTC Industry Quality experience is required. Experience with quality complaint investigations is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required. Experience with LIMS and/or SAP is a plus. Ability to work in Fort Washington, PA is required.
