Job Details ContractEstimated: $78,000 – $110,000 a year15 hours ago Qualifications – Microbiology – Laboratory experience – Immunoassays – Supervising experience – Virology – Bachelor’s degree Full Job Description Duties / Expectations of Role Day-to-day supervision of test performance by testing personnel Assist in the quality of the lab, specimens, reporting results, and more Monitoring the laboratory processes to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance stay maintained to include review of quality control, instrument and equipment maintenance, and other quality assurance activities Assures that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications Ensures that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning Provides orientation to all testing personnel Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel Performs documentation and maintenance of records to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (especially as it relates to CLIA laboratory) Prioritizes tasks and duties consistent with the CLIA laboratory goals Follows all laboratory policies and procedures including, but not limited to, general processes, safety and quality Performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution Carries out a variety of other essential laboratory activities, including procedure writing, inspection preparation, assay validation Perform QC/QA activities as part of the Quality program Mandatory Requirements MT, MLT degree or equivalent Must have an active California CLIA license Bachelor’s Degree in a Chemistry, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology program preferred Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience in high complexity testing. Minimum 5 years CLIA experience with 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in an immunoassay laboratory Minimum 5 years practicing virology, microbiology, chemistry, molecular diagnostics Nice to Have Requirements DRG – Clinical Bio-Analyst DRI – Clinical Microbiologist Possess California Clinical Laboratory Director Specialty License MTA – Clinical laboratory Scientist Generalist; or have a minimum of two years’ experience in high complexity testing in the specialty or specialties they are supervising. MTE – Clinical Microbiologist Scientist, or have a minimum of two years’ experience in high complexity testing in the specialty or specialties they are supervising.: Possess of a valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialty License Type and number: Have a minimum of two years’ experience in high complexity testing in the specialty or specialties they are supervising.
