Position: CRA Specialist Physical Location: 525 East Capitol Street, Jackson, MS 39201 Reports To: CRA Manager Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions Job Grade: E25 Job Group Category: Exempt Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Primary Purpose: The CRA Specialist is responsible for assisting the CRA Manager in the documentation, tracking and analysis of lending data, investments, and service activities for the Bank consistent with the requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: – Assist CRA Manager in building an Annual CRA Strategy through the preparation of a Needs Analysis, Goals, and Year-in-Review document for assigned assessment areas each year. Gather data and generate compelling documentation regarding community need and bank responsiveness. – Communicate with assigned assessment areas to identify partnership and community engagement opportunities. – Monitor market performance against CRA benchmarks for assigned geographies and assist with program delivery and achievement of goals. – Maintain relationships with state and regional community development, economic development, financial education, and other nonprofits/stakeholders in CRA activities. – Manage the monitoring and reporting of Community Reinvestment Act activities for assigned geographies. – Ensure data integrity and assign appropriate documentation/rationale for CRA eligibility. – Identify training needs to ensure that loan officers are equipped to determine community development applicability. Assist assigned assessment areas in identifying community development loan prospects. – Guide market management and staff in relationship-building, CRA-eligible community service, and delivery of financial education. – Collaborate with partner agencies, local staff, marketing, mortgage, and other internal departments to support special initiatives and programming, including down payment assistance programs, financial education campaigns, and Federal Home Loan Bank grant opportunities. – Coordinate the collection and organization of information, materials and other data for regulatory examinations, as requested by the CRA Manager. – Support, as needed, with various projects affecting the bank’s CRA programs. – Assist the CRA Manager in the development of CRA training materials and the delivery of CRA training within assigned assessment areas. – Other duties as assigned. Job Specifications: Required: – Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. – Minimum 3 years experience working in a financial institution or nonprofit role; experience in a community reinvestment or compliance function preferred. – Working knowledge of presentation software and spreadsheets. – Ability and strong desire to interact with internal and external partners on a daily basis. – Excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work with various strategic partners and stakeholders. – Capable of functioning in a team environment while executing individual responsibilities. – Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and work after hours and on weekends when necessary. Preferred: – Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field. – Knowledge of Community Relations and Corporate Citizenship. – Specialized experience in providing project coordination and community development activities to ensure compliance with CRA. – Familiarity with google suite.
