Development Scientist _ Miami, FL Kelly Services is currently seeking a Development Scientist for one of our top clients in Miami, FL. As a Development Scientist placed with Kelly Services you will be working with a manufacturer of Biomedical, Scientific & Technical instruments that support healthcare and laboratory professionals, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, universities, medical schools, and research institutions worldwide. This position is a 6-month assignment. We are looking for a dynamic Development Scientist to join our clients team! The ideal candidate will be scientific minded, able to read and thoroughly comprehend scientific literature; write scientific protocols and reports following established standards, practices and procedures; and exercise independent/correlated analytical judgment. Prior experience performing various clinical laboratory tests to obtain data is a plus. Experience with IVDR, regulatory requirements, clinical regulations, and creation of technical files is highly preferred. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of General Clinical Laboratory experience having a combination of clinical laboratory and either clinical research laboratory or in-vitro diagnostic / biotechnology / Pharmacology (FDA regulated) laboratory experience. MT or CLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification/license highly preferred. Knowledge and experience in CAP inspections a plus. Prior R and/or clinical experience in urinalysis, hematology, immunoassay, clinical chemistry, or flow cytometry a plus. Reagent or controls development experience is a plus. An ability and willingness to apply knowledge and skills and maintain clinical competency as to implement lab services as demonstrated through practices, performing complex laboratory procedures and quality control across the major areas of the laboratory, recognizing abnormal and inadequate results and utilizing background in technical methodology and theory to independently perform, interpret and report test analyses as required. Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions; ability to communicate effectively with others; ability to react and perform under stress in emergency situations; ability to plan an organize work for self and others; ability to exercise analytical judgment on work to be done and met job demands. Ensures compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Must possess mathematical, instrumentation, interpersonal, communication, documentation, organizational, and project planning skills. Ability to perform in both a team environment and as an individual. Ability to multi-task. Knowledge and experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Clinical Practices (GCP). Conducts chemical analyses, urinalysis, and hematology of bodily fluids, using microscope or automated analyzer. Maintains inventory/supplies necessary for testing purposes. Organizes test data. Analyzes the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices. Evaluates data generated and prepare/present to group. Ensure all laboratory work is documented in compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies. Properly maintains laboratory notebooks/logbooks; review, sign and date technologists notebooks. Maintains a clean and safe work area to ensure the safety of yourself and co-workers. Shows professional interest through self- development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations; presents a positive attitude and professional appearance. Understands Danaher Business System tools and applies to day-to-day work. Experience with analytical methods like conductivity, osmolality, particle background and pH is preferred. Required Education BS degree in the biological sciences, microbiology, immunology, chemistry or medical technology with 3+ years of relevant direct experience. MS degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of direct experience. PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of direct experience. Relevant direct experience includes performing scientific literature searches, comprehending scientific literature, and writing scientific protocols and reports following established standards.
