These systems provide high fidelity simulation of real-time Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), Radio Frequency (RF) and Avionics environments for testing EW and Avionics systems in order to protect aircraft from ground and airborne threats. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE – Design and development of EW and avionics HITL software systems – Debug and test of EW and avionics HITL systems – Research of EO/IR and RF simulation methods and standards – Research of EW and Avionics systems reprogramming, mission data and testing – Provide guidance to less experienced researchers developing EW and Avionics Systems – Publish or provide contributions to research papers associated with EW and Avionics systems – Develop and deliver software products supporting EW systems to the sponsor community – Lead small research teams in the design and development of EW and Avionics HITL SW Travel Requirements
