IT & V Financial Crimes Risk Management Testing & Validation (FCRM T & V) is seeking a Business Manager (Senior Officer). The business manager will drive planning and implement strategy across FCRM T & V to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency. This role is a dynamic individual contributor role with the opportunity to engage project teams and mentor less experienced employees. The roles & responsibilities of the business manager includes, but is not limited to: – Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives related to issues management and regulatory remediation activities, strategy deployments, and infrastructure management for implementation of corporate directives; drives direction and progress to related plans and maintains stakeholder buy-in/agreement resulting in necessary decisions throughout the life-cycle of the initiatives – Triages critical or high-risk areas of concern and determines next steps – Provides thoughtful and independent credible challenge to IT & V groups and across business partners external to IT & V; ensures we have the right mitigation processes and controls in place – Sustains a strong risk culture that identifies and provides oversight and escalation of existing and emerging risks to our own internal organization; provides status updates to key stakeholders on programs and specific reviews where warranted – Provides transparency through status updates to regulators, Internal Audit, other internal risk and line of business stakeholders – Leads leadership communication routines with direct outreach to Sr Directors across IT & V, LOB CROs, Compliance, Corporate Risk, and the Chief Operating Officer organization, frequently acting as the delegate for the Sr Director for testing and validation related discussions and decisions – Builds and manages team staffing strategy, execution, tracking, and reporting; includes management of staffing needs, current resources, related financials, and organizational activities – Manages space planning strategy and all related communications and execution support – Oversees budget/expense management, annual forecasting, tracking and reporting; includes quarterly budget analysis, GL certifications, and working with senior level group finance officers – Manages contractor/consulting spend and logistics Required Qualifications – 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management Desired Qualifications – Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems – Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships – Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment – Ability to summarize and recommend new strategies/solutions – Knowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management – Experience working with the Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) Other Desired Qualifications – Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, specially within audit, regulatory compliance or risk management – Independent testing & validation experience – Strong critical thinking and analytical skills – Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with various levels of management, including senior leaders and executives – Knowledge of industry standards and best practices around testing & validation and risk management processes – Significant experience managing compliance-driven initiatives, processes, governance and reporting – Risk Management Certifications (i.e. CRCM, CISA, CIA, CISSP, etc.) Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
