The holder of this position will oversee the business development of the products range of BioAnalytics area, which is dedicated to optical Cell Analysis Systems (Flow Cytometry and live cell analysis systems). Sartorius is seeking a Field Application Scientist who will be responsible for bringing the products’ technical expertise and market knowledge to the sales team. The holder of this position will oversee the business development of the products range of BioAnalytics area, which is dedicated to optical Cell Analysis Systems (Flow Cytometry and live cell analysis systems). Responsibilities: Support the sales organization on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations, application studies, and training. Support new products launch through instrument and software demonstrations. Provide high level technical support for clients support requests and troubleshooting needs by providing guidance, knowledge on specific application needs, and recommend assay development solutions. Provide technically sound and detailed presentations of Sartorius BioAnalytics Products at promotional venues and high-level scientific meetings including on-site seminars, trade shows, and user meetings. Provide feedback and recommendations for Sartorius BioAnalytics Products improvement through client supports and understanding their needs. Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated aptitude towards the selling process and a confirmed teammate. Must be results and success oriented with proven ability to organize, develop, take ownership, and follow through on tasks and plans. A standout colleague with high level of attention to detail and ability to effectively to juggle multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to articulate effectively with external clients and internal teams. Able to work in high demand environment, analyze complex technical issues and to provide solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, biochemistry, or related field. Masters/PhD preferred but not required if have 2+ years lab experience. Previous field support experience is preferred but not required. Microscope/image processing, flow cytometry, cell biology, cell culture, ability to understand different areas in cell biology research (e.g. neuroscience, immunology, oncology, toxicology).
