A passion-drivenhealthcarefacility in Northern California is actively seeking a Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager to join their team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Supervisors, Managers, and Director. This is a unique opportunity for the Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager as this ruralhealthcarefacility has well-tenured staff and positions rarely become available.

The Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager will oversee many aspects of the laboratory and its staff. Specimen collection, receiving, handling, and processing are main components of the Hospital Laboratory Assistant Managers position. Ordering tests from the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and processing billing and charging information are all aspects of the Hospital Laboratory Assistant Managers position as well. The Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager will research and resolve specimen processing and distribution problems while overseeing a team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists.

At least two years in a hospital laboratory setting is needed for the Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager to fully understand all of the concepts of this position. A California Phlebotomy Certification is required to ensure the Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager has the proper educational knowledge to perform. Laboratory terminology, specialized computer skills, and technology troubleshooting skills come from the hospital experience and education this position requires of the Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager.

The Hospital Laboratory Assistant Manager will be a part of a rural community and specialized laboratory andhealthcarefacility. The facility cares for those in their community.
