Our apprentices attend college part-time studying theory elements of the apprenticeship while working at a GSK Manufacturing facility. Laboratory Analyst apprentices atZebulon will be studying towards anAssociates Degreein Biotechnology at GSKs partnering Community College.Over the3-4years in the Program, you willspend most of your week at the labs receiving tailored on-the-job training from our in-house industry experts, combined with early responsibility to help you develop and progress. What will you do? As a Laboratory Analyst Apprentice, you may get involved in the following activities: – Working as part of a team to support the routine analysis of raw materials, manufactured and stability samples using classical and chromatographic techniques as appropriate – Manage the smooth and efficient flow of samples and products from manufacturing, logistics and other areas on site to the laboratory. – Sample, test, report and validate final products, intermediates, raw materials and in-process samples to defined procedures – Consistently operate to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratories Practices (GLP) standards to ensure compliant product testing – Maintain and calibrate a wide range of analytical equipment to ensure continual production of accurate and precise results – Utilise theoretical and practical knowledge to aid interpretation of results and troubleshooting – Demonstrate proficiency in routine laboratory information systems to interpret and report results – Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environment – Learning about the process each drug or product follows through to full scale manufacturing – Looking for ways to improve safety, quality and laboratory processes Youll be excited by the thought of: – building technical skills through a tailored entry-level development program, working with industry professionals – earning an Associates degree at GSKs partnering community college with the potential to go on to further study.
