Summary Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Finance/Compliance Supervisor, performs a variety of financial data management functions to ensure accuracy of laboratory billing and regulatory compliance. Hours 8:30am-5pm Mon-Friday Education Two years of formal training or education beyond the high school level (e.g., Associates Degree). Certification, Registration & Licensure None required. Experience None required; one year related experience preferred. High priority given to candidates with prior medical billing/charging experience and/or Cerner Rev Cycle experience. Responsibilities – Performs charging and crediting of internal and external lab services. – Reviews laboratory claims for billing requirements in hospital claims processing software. – Performs month-end review and close.. – Completes requested audits initiated from Billing/HIMS/Compliance. – Maintains compliance with all laboratory specific requirements. – Performs projects and other related duties as required or assigned.
