Laboratory Technician NA-United States-Delaware-Wilmington DuPont Transportation & Industrial (T&I) Performance Materials group is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Experimental Station Technology team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine experiments and testing duties. Main job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Weigh up and prepare blends of resin materials following a recipe created by a researcher * Provide materials, submit run-requests and be available to support Semi-works operations area when samples are extruded * After samples are generated, coordinate and run required testing as needed (tensile, flex, impact, rheology, moisture analysis, DSC, TGA, among others) * Follow and help prepare Standard Operating Procedures for experiments and equipment * Support Process Safety Management by preparing and maintaining S26As (safety paperwork packages) * Record and organize test results in Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and email * Document laboratory work using online electronic laboratory notebook * Order and help maintain inventory of lab chemicals, raw materials, samples, and supplies * Coordinate import and export of samples to and from testing labs and/or customers, including shipment of samples following DOT requirements * Maintain chemical, resin and experimental sample inventory * Coordinate outside laboratory testing including shipping samples following DOT requirements * Participate in team meetings including safety meetings, safety reviews, and project meetings * Contribute to the continuous improvement of the facilities and safety * Please include a current resume with your application to be in consideration for this position. Your qualification profile: * High school diploma/GED * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for working safely and efficiently * Self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn new skills * Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, enjoys working with a diverse team of people * Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, OneDrive, Outlook email), including being comfortable entering data into Excel spreadsheets * Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities * Able to regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and /or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds * Knowledge or working experience with polymers is preferred, but not required Research & Development Dec 16, 2020, 6:48:03 PM Full-time Entry Level
