Laboratory Technician NA-United States-Delaware-Wilmington DuPont Mobility and Materials has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Laboratory Technician in the Technical Service and Application Development Organization at Chestnut Run Plaza/Experimental Station. You will be a key resource responsible for generating accurate and reliable analytical data that is used for applications development and customer support. You are expected to develop a close working relationship with T&I s Technical Staff, Laboratory Technicians, and leadership to provide effective support to meet business needs. Additional duties include: investigating sources of product non-conformance, auditing, assisting in test method development, training of other technicians and recording of accurate documentation. Functional responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Adheres and uphold DuPont Core Values * Responsible for operating equipment following Standard Operating Procedures and the completion of analytical test results in a safe and timely fashion. * Responsible for accuracy and reliability of data/test results provided to Product Technical Specialists and customers. * Responsible for monitoring equipment s condition/data and recognizing when condition/data is outside the norm and taking appropriate corrective action (including troubleshooting and repair of equipment). * Assures equipment calibrations, preventive maintenance, and safety checks are completed and that all necessary records/logbooks are accurately kept. * Participate in first party audits including housekeeping, job cycle checks, and internal/external audits and drive corrective actions to 100% completion. The following are required: * Minimum education of Associates degree in Sciences, or equivalent work experience. * Strong laboratory skills with ability to follow SOPs, troubleshoot equipment issues, independently or through a team process. * Experience developing, reviewing, updating laboratory test procedures and records. * Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds when necessary. * Flexible in changing work schedule and assigned area of responsibility to meet fluctuations in business needs. * Demonstrates the ability to learn new skills quickly and effectively. * Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities to meet customer needs. * Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative working environment. * Computer savvy and familiar with basic computer programs (i.e. Microsoft office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Lotus Notes). The following are preferred: * Hands-on experience with various Physical Property testing techniques for Polymer Resin based materials (Tensile, Impact, Aging, etc..). * Knowledge of polymer processing techniques including Injection Molding. * Demonstrated ability to understand various resins, their properties, performance characteristics and applications. * Experience working in a A2LA or ISO 9001 accredited laboratory A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States; No visa sponsorship/support or relocation assistance is available for this position Feb 3, 2021, 5:21:46 PM Full-time Entry Level
