JOB POSTING – Laboratory Technician/ Technologist / MLS Full-time; Benefits Eligible Hours: 11:00am – 7:30pm M-F weekend rotation We are seeking a Laboratory Technician – The Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) is responsible for the processing and packaging/shipping of sendout laboratory samples. Additional duties include processing of referred testing, reporting and verifying of results, and billing of patient. A Place to Be Proud What Will You Be Doing? – Demonstrates the technical and computer skills required in the laboratory. – Accurately processes referral specimens, maintains records, prepares and transmits reports, completes billing of patient and pending logs – Processes specimen samples for storage – Retrieves stored samples from lab departments to add-on sendout testing, as requested – Provides accurate and complete documentation in every regard What Are We Looking For? To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience: – Associate’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution including clinical laboratory training in an approved MLT program and certification by an approved agency. – In instances where the certification is renewable, this must be kept current to be considered in the certified pay grade.
