Position Summary: The Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is rapidly expanding the number of courses and degree programs it offers, particularly within the field of Data Science. In addition, a variety of curriculum modernization initiatives are underway aimed at substantially improving the quality of learning for students in Statistics classes and programs. We are seeking a candidate to join a growing team of excellent instructors engaged in these educational innovation efforts with shared vision and passion, strong teaching and professional skills, and proven track records. Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience: Candidate should have at least one year’s work experience in an education, research, or industry setting. One year teaching experience at the college or university level preferred. Candidates should have excellent teaching, interpersonal, teamwork, written and oral communication skills, as well as keen attention to detail and precision, excellent organizational skills, ability to work and complete tasks under deadline pressures, high degree of initiative and resourcefulness, and proven success and effectiveness in working both independently and in team.
