Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our growing Quality team! This position will report directly to the Quality Manager at our Deepwater, NJ location. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer manages the assigned production area’s quality related activities as well as the development and implementation of quality improvement programs in the assigned production areas. Oversees all aspects of the area’s quality improvement efforts such as developing new and administering existing programs. Responsible for establishing strategic policies and procedures at all levels to ensure quality improvement efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customer needs and expectations. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: – Coordinates the quality activities across the assigned area operations at the site including customer, supplier, ISO 9001:2015 standard, and internal interfaces. – Responding to the customer complaints in 8D format in a timely manner, reduction in customer complaints in the assigned production area, filling out customer surveys, quality related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, training, quality audits, corrective action, specification review, development of a quality culture, and link with senior management to drive continuous quality improvement. – Develop and execute plans for quality and control to ensure constant manufacturing continuity and product conformance. – Understands and reviews customer requirements, negotiates in the best interest of Chemours and customers, supports processes to assure customer needs are met, and ensures the data is obtained. – Provide guidance for all functions on quality process starting from Voice of the Customer (VOC) and product design up to product delivery to customer. – Coordinate the collection, review and response to the performance metrics on a weekly basis – Represent quality in site level Change Management process and new product launches – Develop and execute statistical process controls utilizing appropriate quality tools plus statistical techniques. – Performs internal audits, layered process audits to support Quality Management System; and track audit findings to closure. – Develop and maintain positive relations and effectual communication lines with all functions, suppliers and clients The Following Is Required For This Role – BS degree in Engineering or Science – Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification or demonstrated statistical analysis/control experience – 5+ Years manufacturing experience – Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize customer needs based on customer input. Proven ability to effectively communicate through all levels of an organization – Demonstrated analytic capability and problem-solving skills The Following Is Preferred For This Role – BS Degree in Chemical Engineering – 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer including 3+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment serving the automotive or food industry – ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor Certification – Expert in AIAG Core Tools.
