Here are just a few of the things you will get to do: The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure all Operations team training requirements are met and to continually improve and enhance the operators’ knowledge through training. Act as a content expert and/or training process expert who develops and delivers training that integrates business processes with skills and knowledge required for employees to safely and effectively perform job duties. Develop and update all training materials, facilitate training, and track training requirements for the Operations team. Training includes but is not limited to process training, technical training, and SAP training. Standardize batch records and work instructions working closely with Process Development team members. Accountable for the development and updating of procedures and training guides including creation of one-time operating procedures, as required. Perform initial operator training (onboarding), train and qualify all new Operators. Primary accountability for upskilling operations team members. Training may be group sessions, one-on-one, or preparing self-directed material. Maintain department training documents and document operator qualifications and continue to requalify current operators on an ongoing basis. Maintain an updated calendar of events. Partner with HR using myHR Learning Management System as applicable. Interact with cross-functional groups such as Quality, EHS and Customer Service ensuring effective communication. Contact and utilize outside vendors and resources as approved. May provide support during audits and inspections. Participate in Management of Change (MOC) as required. Handle confidential information with care. FOR OPEN MINDS. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field and two years of technical writing and training experience are required. Knowledge and experience in organic chemistry is required. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ability to work in a team environment; exhibit a high level of persistence, motivation and initiative. Must demonstrate an attention to detail and have the ability to schedule and prioritize effectively as well as possess organizational skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple topics at once. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software and/or learning management system (LMS) is required; SAP experience preferred. Possess experience with instructional technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of management. Must be confident presenting and facilitating meetings.
