EERE is hiring for a General Engineer/Physical Scientist, GS-801/1301-13, Full Performance Level GS-13, position with the Strategic Analysis Team in the Office of the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary utilizing the following Direct Hire announcements posted on USAJOBs: (General Engineer 0801: and (Physical Scientist 1301: The Strategic Analysis Team conducts corporate level analysis for EERE and supports DOE cross-cutting initiatives such as the Energy Storage Grand Challenge. This position will work closely with staff in EERE Technology Offices and other DOE offices to manage analysis projects and make individual contributions to analysis projects. Successful candidates should possess a broad understanding of EERE technologies and have experience conducting analysis projects examining energy related topics. Specific experience related to energy scenario analysis looking at projected greenhouse gas emissions trajectories, equity impacts and/or job impacts are preferable. Additional duties include assisting with tasks for EERE Senior Leadership, including but not limited to gathering and interpreting data for EERE leadership, providing technical assistance for congressional inquiries, facilitating coordination amongst EERE analysts on specific topics and developing presentations as well as other communications materials.
