Postdoctoral Associate ath-laboratory Cancer Translationa l Medicine Projects Seeking applications to fill a Postdo ctoral fellow with a strong interest in immunology, cell signaling. Proj ects are focused on: a) using molecular and drug development strategies to define critical steps in carcinogenesis and cancer progression includ ing transcriptomic analysis of breast cancer models and samples; and b)interrogating and modulating, for therapeutic application, the immunobio logical mechanisms underlying the more aggressive cancer biology in Afri can American women and elucidating the importance of these mechanisms fo r response to current therapeutic strategies. Applications from ta lented, well-trained and passionate researchers from those populations a ffected by disparities in cancer outcomes are encouraged. Qualifications and Experience A PhD, M D or MD/PhD in a biology-related discipline is required: immunology, mol ecular biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, p athology or a related discipline. Research experience in immunology and murine tumor models needed. Qualities sought: Demonstr ates critical thinking, highly developed interpersonal skills, and outst anding communication skills. The ideal candidate should be collaborative and possess a high level of self-motivation. Experience with scientificwriting, statistics, and analysis software as well as the ability to pe rform detailed work, multi-task, and problem solve. Proficient in genera l computing, including Microsoft Office applications. Cell culture exper ience is required; previous experience with various murine models is a b enefit, but not required.
