Dr. Cordero-Morales is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow. Experience in biochemistry is highly desirable. Dr. Cordero-Morales research laboratory aims to understand the relationship between structure and function of ion channels (e.g., mechanosensitive and transient receptor potential ion channels) involved in somatosensation using a multi-disciplinary approach that includes molecular biology, electrophysiology, biochemistry, structural biology, and animal behavior. The position will offer many opportunities to learn and a variety of functional and structural techniques to study sensory ion channels, such as electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, cryo-electron microscopy, molecular biology, patch clamp, two-electrode voltage clamp, calcium imaging among others. Ph.D. in physiology, biophysics, biochemistry, or a related field.
