Job Details Full-timeEstimated: $41,000 – $52,000 a year2 hours ago Benefits – Health insurance Qualifications – Communication skills – Bioinformatics – Databases – Doctoral degree Full Job Description Postdoctoral Fellow/Genetics, Genomics & nformatics – B7 Postdoctoral Fellow in Mouse Genetics A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Lu Lu laboratory, Department of Genetics, Genomics and Informatic, The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Lu is seeking a genetic biologist to work on discovering novel molecular targets in complex traits and polygenetic diseases via genetics and bioinformatics methods. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with some of the leading academic investigators in mouse genetics worldwide to systematically analyze and integrate sources of phenotypes, genetic and epigenetic variation, and gene expression variability in complex traits and diseases. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of commonly used bioinformatics tools and public databases; experience working with different types of high throughput data such as microarray, RNA-seq, DNA-seq, ChIP-seq; first (or co-first) author of one or more peer-reviewed scientific publications. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are required. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Statistics, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
